Hello,
I am Elaine Unell, Angela’s mom.
I am so proud Angela for so many reasons. I have heard from a multitude of people who came to know and love her, and they describe her with words like ”Inspiring,” ”Talented,”
”Creative,” ”Brave,” ”Courageous,” “Joyful,” “Funny,” ”Kind.” Many have told stories of how she made them feel included and encouraged them to join in. They have said how she had a light and a spirit about her that drew them to her. They talked about her sense of humor.
She was all of this and more while enduring 17 years of major health worries and treatments of various kinds...even up to the end. I am so impressed that all of the people I have met who she has attracted as friends are such wonderful people themselves. I am also very proud of her sister, Robin, for many things, but most recently and most pertinent at this time, for all the work and time and love she has put into starting this scholarship program. I hope others will help keep this going and carry on Angela’s legacy and her passion.
This is a wonderful way to create a lasting legacy devoted to what Angela loved so much, music and the various communities where she made music, learned and grew. It also helps those of us who think about her often have a place to focus that energy in a positive way. Thank you Robin for making this happen and being such a source of strength and love and Elaine for being such an amazing, loving, nurturing, creative, welcoming mom. ❤️❤️❤️
